I am trying to convince some people that incorporating video advertisements and testimonials is far more effective than flat, dull text ads. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? Somewhere, I have read results from some tests or surveys which confirmed that a video has a higher click thru and conversion rate, but I cannot find that source now that I need it. HELP!?!
I wouldn’t be on it. Not until high speed internet is more readily available. I think you’ll find most SEO advise to avoid use of video on websites if possible. Most people’s computers and/or internet connections simply cannot handle the download fast enough, and the average consumer just isn’t that patient.
Had a group of persons been MADE to watch a video ad, and a see a print ad, I’m sure the video ad would be more effective. The problem is, more effective with a fraction of the people being patient enough for it to download just isn’t effective. lol.

Have anyone heard about Video Marketing Tactic? I heard the guy teach very good video marketing tactic.
Video marketing is basically when you create informational or entertaining videos and submit them to popular sites like YouTube, Metacafe, etc. You include your website’s URL in the video and it helps drive traffic to your site without you having to pay for the bandwidth for the streaming videos.

THE ONLY THING I COULD FIND
A tomte
['tɔ`m:tɛ] or nisse ['nìs:ɛ] is a mythical creature of Scandinavian folklore originating from Norse paganism. Tomte or Nisse were believed to take care of a farmer’s home and children and protect them from misfortune, in particular at night, when the housefolk were asleep. Tomte is the common Swedish name, derived from his place of residence and area of influence: the house lot or tomt. The Finnish name is "tonttu". Nisse is the common name in Norwegian, Danish and the Scanian dialect in southernmost Sweden; it is a nickname for Nils, and its usage in folklore comes from expressions such as Nisse god dräng ("Nisse good lad," cf. Robin Goodfellow).
Similar folklore
The tomte/nisse shares many aspects with other Scandinavian wights such as the Swedish vättar (from the Old Norse "landvættir") or the Norwegian tusser. These beings are social, however, whereas the tomte is always solitary (though he is now often pictured with other tomtar). Some synonyms of tomte in Swedish and Norwegian include gårdbo ((farm)yard-dweller), gardvord (yard-warden, see vörðr), god bonde (good farmer), fjøsnisse (barn gnome) or gårdsrå (yard-spirit). The tomte could also take a ship for his home, and was then known as a skeppstomte/skibsnisse. In other European folklore, there are many beings similar to the tomte, such as the Scots brownie, English Hob, the German Heinzelmännchen or the Russian domovoi. The Finnish word tonttu has been borrowed from Swedish.
The tomte is one of the most familiar creatures of Scandinavian folklore, and he has appeared in many works of Scandinavian literature. With the romanticisation and collection of folklore during the 19th century, the tomte would gain popularity. In the English editions of the fairy tales of H. C. Andersen the word nisse has been inaccurately translated as "goblin" (a more accurate translation is "brownie" or "hob").

Since kids sit around and play video games 24/7, does anyone else see how the big three failed to use this to their advantage, like the other companies have done? Almost all of the games out there, are promoting the tuner type vehicles, and 90% of them are not American made. I feel this is what has led big business away. That, and designs that look like a sick dog drew up the plans. Being #2 or 3 only means you are the first and second loosers. They have taken on a mentality of calling the fire department after the house has burned down. You may know what I’m talking about, but they don’t. Try submitting a design to them, and you have to get permission to do so. I would think a sinking ship would welcome a life raft or two.
Gran Tourismo had cars from the big 3. I think the fall of the big american makers is because of a lot of things. Yes if they let their cars be in more games, they would be more appealing to the kids. I think that they really need to hit the cars from a different angle. Not just games, but magazines. The tuner’s have many magazines about them, the cars look hot, there are all these body kits, and parts one can order to make that stock car get its unquie design by you. The american 3 have cars that are more known for muscle, and the only real option is maybe changing the hood, and the parts on the engine. They will still look stock, just a little more beefy. What is more appealing to the young kids? Look at video games, we like to modify our characters, and tuners can be heavily modified unlike the mustang. I love the mustang, and I think it is the one car that is close to the tuner, but it is still so far away.
